Christmas 2009
Last time came Christmas time, I was organised. I was on top of things, and it was almost stress free…
This year, I was all over the place. I was buying presents on Christmas eve, door knocking on the neighbours doors on Christmas eve with a card I only wrote 15 minutes before I handed it to them, and we only put up our Christmas tree on the 23rd. Hehehehe… but it was also stress free. No deadline (not really other than getting it all done BEFORE Christmas eve).

Last time, I wrote about ways to save during Christmas, and I never wrote about how to ’save’ when it comes to your Christmas tree. Well, this is what our little family does.
Each year that since Arielle was born, we decided that we wanted a Christmas tree that ‘grows’ with us. That is every year, we add some sort of decoration without having to really fork out heaps of money in one lump sum on the tree. We started with the mere basic. Tree, and one set of bobbles. That was year one. Then the second, we added ribbons, and then the year after a few other bobbles, and the next, we each chose a decoration each, and etc…etc…

Last year we finally bought a star for it
. This year, we added ribbons. Gold ones.

These are really simple and easy peesey to make and are such a load off the wallet.

Just cut ribbon to the right size, fold each end into the middle…

… then twisting the ends of the Christmas tree over the centre of the ribbon, PINCH, and adjust. Done. THen repeat… like 30 times
.
AND… because this year we were scroogey on the decorations… I decorated my little mini Lees…

Missy A as Santa and Missy C as her little elf helper. AHHH SO CUTE, if I can say so myself.
Hope you all have had a Merry Christmas and PLEASE PLEASE have a safe and blessed new year!
Oh those bows are such a great idea! I suppose you could leave them on the tree when you pack it up too so less work for next year. I was completely unorganized this year too, I haven’t even posted half of my presents yet, oh well! I hope you guys had a fantastic day and a great new years too
